Reservoir Remedial Works

Remedial works were performed at 4 reservoirs across 3 islands. This work included

• Removal and replacement of grout protective blocks over cable terminations. Existing grout had allowed water to penetrate and rust the cable termination assemblies. Old grout was removed and the termination assemblies were sand blasted and coated. An epoxy sand mortar mix was used to replace the grout.

• Replacement of old roofs with new aluminium roofs. 

• Exterior painting of reservoirs in a salt resistant oil based concrete paint. This was done to extend the life of the tanks and protect the steel embedded in the concrete.

• Replacement of damaged cable covers with new aluminium covers.
